Joint Arthritis to be discussed at Dessert with the Docs

Parkview Medical Center’s Mobile Nurses will be hosting the monthly Dessert with the Docs program on Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in Parkview’s Rosemont Room. Dessert with the Docs is a great opportunity to enjoy a healthy dessert while listening to a presentation about the latest healthcare information affecting you and your family.

Dr. Robert Thomas will be presenting on joint arthritis at the August event. Dr. Thomas is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with Parkview Orthopedics. He came to Pueblo in 2010 and has nearly 30 years of orthopedic experience. Dr. Thomas began his career as a physical therapist, providing him an experienced start to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, followed by orthopedic residency at Albany Medical Center. He has extensive sports medicine experience, including serving as Team Physician for Division III NCAA athletics as well as the Men's Football and Basketball teams at the US Air Force Academy.  In addition to his sports medicine management, he provides a wide range of orthopedic care, specializing in joint replacement of the knee and hip.  Dr. Thomas is the chairman of the Orthopedics Department and Joint Center at Parkview Medical Center.

Dessert with the Docs is a free event held the first Tuesday of the month in Parkview’s Rosemount Room, which is located on the 2nd floor of the North Annex, 1518 N. Elizabeth. Parking is available in the lot off 16th Street. To register please go to
