The da Vinci Xi acts as an extension of the surgeon's eyes and hands, giving the physician 3-D magnified vision and 360° dexterity of four arms, which allows for more effective, precise surgical movements. Parkview is dedicated to providing the best care for our patients by reducing risk, pain and recovery time.
Parkview Medical Center is committed to providing our community with the latest technology and procedures. We are proud to be able to provide less invasive surgical options with the acquisition of the newest Intuitive da Vinci®Xi robotic surgical system and surgical trainer. Minimally invasive robotic surgeries
Parkview will now offer more complex, minimally invasive abdominal and pelvic surgeries in the areas of:
Da Vinci Xi has broader capabilities than prior generations of the da Vinci surgical systems. The four armed robot now offers a greater range of motion and reach. By enabling efficient access throughout the abdomen and chest, da Vinci Xi System expands upon core da Vinci System features, including wristed instruments, 3D-HD visualization, intuitive motion, and an ergonomic design. The 3D-HD visualization gives surgeons a highly magnified view, virtually extending their eyes and hands into the patient.
“For a surgeon, da Vinci Xi system allows extremely accurate visualization within the body cavity. Coupled with the dexterity of the instrument arms, this is an invaluable tool in improving the safety of operations and in increasing the complexity of what we can do with minimally invasive surgery,” said Dr. Sandeep Vijan, general surgeon. “This is a tremendous leap forward in bringing a new era of surgical care to Pueblo.”
Parkview anticipates significant improvements in patient satisfaction, as well as increased safety throughout the spectrum of surgery.
“Pairing our experienced team of surgeons with the most advanced robotic surgical system available is an investment the community will benefit from for many years to come,” explained Parkview Medical Center CEO, Mike Baxter.
