Parkview Foundation Scholarship Programs
Employee Nursing Scholarship – This scholarship is for employees of Parkview Medical Center enrolled in nursing programs at an accredited college or university. The scholarship pays for tuition, fees and books up to $2,500. Applicants must meet certain requirements to be considered eligible for this scholarship. Applications are available March 1 of each year.

Community Nursing ScholarshipThis scholarship is available to two senior nursing students (includes nurse inters) attending Pueblo Community College, Colorado State University-Pueblo or Colorado Technical University. The scholarship pays for tuition, fees and books up to $2,500. Applicants must meet certain requirements to be considered eligible for this scholarship and expect to graduate by May of senior year. Applications are available March 1 of each year.

Parkview Medical Staff Healthcare Scholarship – This scholarship is presented jointly by the Parkview Foundation and Parkview Medical Staff to recognize outstanding physicians in our community and to honor a deceased physician annually. The applicant must be a college-level junior or senior or a graduate-level student wishing to obtain a degree in the acute medical care field. The student may attend any accredited college or university in Colorado. Applicants must meet certain requirements to be considered eligible for this scholarship. Applications are available March 1 of each year.

Dr. Thomas K. Reichert Endowment ScholarshipThe Parkview Foundation is proud to offer a new healthcare scholarship this year in memory of Dr. Thomas K. Reichert. This endowment scholarship will pay for tuition and fees for the 2008-2009 academic year. The maximum amount of the scholarship award is $2,500. The scholarship applicant must be a resident of Pueblo County, enrolled in an acute healthcare program or pre-healthcare curriculum at an accredited college or university in Colorado.

Applicants must be enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program, in a graduate program or a two-year technical program in the fall of 2008. Applicants must also have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or better.

Parkteen Scholarship Program – The Ruth E. & O. Dale Harmon Scholarship for Parkteens is awarded annually to a Parkteen who volunteers a minimum of 100 hours, has demonstrated outstanding volunteer service to Parkview and has achieved academic excellence while in school. The program was established by Mr. Harmon in 1990 in memory of his wife Ruth. The program is supported by June Harmon, Jim Harmon, the Parkview Auxiliary & Volunteers.
