Parkview appoints Health Information Medical Director
(Pueblo, CO April 9, 2008) –Parkview Medical Center is pleased to announce Robert N. Alsever, M.D., has been appointed as a Medical Director for Health Information. Dr. Alsever has served as Parkview’s Vice President of Medical Affairs since 2000.
In this new role, Dr. Alsever will be responsible for collecting and reporting on patient outcome data. He will also continue to work directly with Parkview’s medical staff on coding, dictation, education and insurance issues. Dr. Alsever will also serve as Parkview’s liaison to Colorado Hospital Association on “never events” and severity and mortality indicators.
Dr. Alsever is a graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. He is a board certified internist and Board Certified in the subspecialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
In addition to serving as Parkview’s V.P. of Medical Affairs, Dr. Alsever spent many years as a private practice physician. He also was employed, by Joint Commission as a physician surveyor for nine years.
Dr. Alsever is a current member of the American Medical Association; Colorado Medical Society; Pueblo County Medical Society; Endocrine Society; American College of Physicians; Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism; American Diabetes Association; American College of Physician Executives; and the National Patient Safety Foundation. He is also a charter member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
