Parkview Foundation Corporate Golf Challenge

The 23rd Annual Parkview Foundation Corporate Golf Challenge will held on Friday, May 19,2012 at the Pueblo Country Club. Parkview Foundation Corporate Golf Challenge is held annually to raise money for the scholarship program. Each year Parkview Foundation awards over $45,000 in scholarships to employees and students in the community. The inaugural tournament was held in 1989 has become one of the most popular tournaments in Pueblo. All teams that participate in the tournament must be sponsored by a corporation or business. Each team consists of five players with no handicap required. The scramble format gets underway at 8:30am with a shotgun start. An awards luncheon immediately follows the golf tournament with an abundance food and prizes. Hole-in-one and golf-skills contests encourage competiveness and fun for the golfers. Sherry Nash will be honored at Parkview Foundation’s 31st Annual Starlight Gala celebration Friday, September 23 at CSU-Pueblo Occhiato Center Ballroom, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. Parkview Foundation Starlight Gala made its debut in 1980 to honor an individual or couple who have made tremendous contributions to our community and to the hospital. The autumn event has grown from a small gathering of 75 to a glorious crowd of more than 600. The annual black tie event raises significant dollars for building improvements, expansion projects and equipment advances. A silent auction is held in conjunction with the Gala and raises one third of the total proceeds. The success of this event is due to the collaborative efforts of local and national business supporters.
The premier black-tie event begins at 6 p.m. with a complimentary social hour and silent auction, followed by an elegant sit-down dinner at 7 p.m., and dancing to the music of the 6 Million Dollar Band from 9 p.m. until midnight. Proceeds from the event will benefit the building and expansion projects at the medical center. Starlight Gala tickets may be purchased for $250 per couple or $1,500 for a corporate table of ten. Parkview Foundation encourages businesses and individuals to support the Starlight Gala through several levels of giving. Supporters have the opportunity to sponsor, underwrite or purchase a corporate table for Pueblo’s premier black-tie event. Donations of items, with a minimum retail value of $100, are accepted for the event’s spectacular silent auction.
