Parkview appoints Vice President of Medical Affairs
(Pueblo, CO April 9, 2008) –Parkview Medical Center is pleased to announce Steven D. Nafziger M.D., a 24-year healthcare veteran, has been appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs. He will sit on Parkview’s Quality Improvement Council as well as serve as a liaison between the medical center and physicians.
Dr. Nafziger, a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, has been providing quality healthcare in Southern Colorado since 1984. He started his healthcare career with Southern Colorado Family Medicine and remained in family practice for 20 years. Most recently, Dr. Nafziger was Clinical Director for the Federal Correctional Complex.
“I am proud to be a part of an organization that has established itself as a leader in healthcare, quality improvement, as well as advancing new technology to Southern Colorado,” Dr. Nafziger explained. “I hope my experience will prove to be a valuable resource at Parkview in the liaison role with physicians.”
Dr. Nafziger’s wife Shelly is a Pueblo native and a graduate of the CSU-Pueblo Nursing Department. They have four children, ages, 19, 17, 12 and 5. In his spare time, Dr. Nafziger enjoys hunting, fishing and golf.###  |  |
