| Parkview’s Critical Care Transport Team is the only mobile adult transport team south of Denver. The team is ready to transport all types of adult patients: emergency, critical care, ventilator dependent or sub acute.
This service is designed to provide physicians, hospitals and other heath care providers throughout Southern Colorado with a link to a tertiary care center, assuring patients immediate, safe, efficient transportation and the highest possible level of care.
The transport team includes Critical Care professionals trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Emergency Medicine, and Trauma Nurse Care. Specialized equipment on the transport unit includes ventilators, pulse oximetry, EKG monitoring with capabilities of pacing and defibrillation, hemodynamic monitoring, invasive lines and advanced life support medications.
Continual communication between Parkview physicians is maintained throughout transports. Each transport is concluded with a phone call and a letter to inform the referring staff of the patient’s status. |
