Parkview Foundation helping scholars get into scrubs


(Pueblo, CO July 15, 2010) –Parkview Foundation is helping local healthcare students with $33,800 in scholarships for the academic year of 2010-2011. The six available scholarships range from $500 to $5,000 and students must be enrolled in an accredited healthcare or nursing program.

Scholarships are given directly to the school and some with an allowance for a laptop or books whichever the student may prefer. Parkview Foundation has made it a goal to help educate healthcare students in the region to ensure a great healthcare future for southern Colorado’s community.

There are certain qualifications for these scholarships such as for a nursing scholarship you must be an employee of Parkview Medical Center with a grade point average or 3.0 or above. The healthcare scholarships are given to those residents of Pueblo County only.

This year’s healthcare scholarship recipients will be:


    Deanna Radzymski-Pueblo Community College

    Jacqueline Baca-Colorado Technical University-Pueblo

    Jason Yaun-Pueblo Community College

    Deana Schrock-Pueblo Community College

    Melanie Cox-Pueblo Community College

    Kacie Nievesmassol-Colorado Technical University-Pueblo

    Julie Baxter-Colorado State University-Pueblo

    Karla Richardson-Trujillo-University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Bethel

    Jayme Provost-Colorado State University-Pueblo

    The recipients of the nursing scholarship are:

    LeAnn Hernandez-Pueblo Community College

    Toni Kittinger-Regis University

    Paula Kirchner-Regis University

    Kara McClure-Colorado State University-Pueblo

Parkview Foundation, INC. is a non-profit organization that promotes the fiscal stature of Parkview Medical Center. The foundation’s primary mission is to solicit, preserve and monitor those funds it generates for the medical center and to assist the medical center in the completion of its mission,
vision and values.
