What is the purpose of STEP?
- Provide high school students an opportunity to explore healthcare careers
- Build students' confidence and skills for the workplace
- Assist students in developing career goals
- Provide parents with necessary information about their childrens' future education and career options
- Enhance the quality of local recruitment into area health care learning programs that serve the Pueblo community and Parkview Medical Center
Requirements
- You will offically be part of the Volunteer Services Youth Program at Parkview Medical Center and must adhere to the criteria established for STEP.
- 2.8 GPA or higher
- Work assigned hours Monday through Thursday (1.5 hours) during the Fall semester
- Only three excused absences per semester
- Arrive with a good attitude, ready to learn
- Reliable transportation to and from your rotation
