Who is Eligible?
  • District 70 High School Seniors

What is the purpose of STEP?
  • Provide high school students an opportunity to explore healthcare careers
  • Build students' confidence and skills for the workplace
  • Assist students in developing career goals
  • Provide parents with necessary information about their childrens' future education and career options
  • Enhance the quality of local recruitment into area health care learning programs that serve the Pueblo community and Parkview Medical Center

Requirements
  • You will offically be part of the Volunteer Services Youth Program at Parkview Medical Center and must adhere to the criteria established for STEP.
  • 2.8 GPA or higher
  • Work assigned hours Monday through Thursday (1.5 hours) during the Fall semester
  • Only three excused absences per semester
  • Arrive with a good attitude, ready to learn
  • Reliable transportation to and from your rotation
