Parkview Medical Center Opens Adult Medicine Clinic
PUEBLO, Colo. -- Parkview Medical Center announced the latest resource to improve patient care in Southern Colorado. On July 1st, Parkview welcomed 10 first-year physicians and one second-year physician to the newly created internal medicine residency program. As part of the program, Parkview has added an Adult Medicine Clinic to its vast list of service lines. Parkview Adult Medicine Clinic will be staffed by the doctors in the residency program as well as three veteran teaching physicians and a nurse practitioner.
The clinic will serve as a teaching facility, but will also relieve much of the strain on Southern Colorado patients who currently do not have a primary healthcare provider or other options for care. These patients will now have another choice, other than overcrowded emergency rooms, when they are seeking care. Parkview Adult Medicine clinic features 16 state-of-the-art exam rooms, a lab, insurance counseling, and in-house billing. The clinic is also able to offer all of the resources and specialties available at Parkview Medical Center.
Parkview Adult Medicine Clinic accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and CHP+. The clinic is now accepting patients 15 years of age and older. A grand opening for the clinic, which is located at 311 W. 14th Street, is scheduled on Wednesday, July 25th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
