Parkview appoints Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

(Pueblo, CO February 15, 2013) -- Parkview Medical Center is pleased to announce Jessica Cummings has been hired as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Parkview Behavioral Health Services and Parkview Adult Medicine Clinic – Behavioral Services.

Cummings will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for chemical dependency and behavioral health patients. She is a registered nurse degree and has a  master’s of science in nursing degree as well as a psychiatric nurse practitioner certification.
Previously Cummings has worked for Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center as a psychiatric nurse practitioner; for Parkview Medical Center as a charge nurse and Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

“My profession allows me to enrich the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues and allows them to become stable, productive and thriving citizens of the community,” explained Cummings.

She is from Colorado City and enjoys reading and learning about wildlife.
