Parkview Foundation 40th Annual Starlight Gala Goes Virtual

PUEBLO, September 10, 2020– With respect to the global pandemic and social distancing, the Parkview Foundation Starlight Gala will be presented virtually.

The event is slated for Friday, September 18th, in a Zoom format presented by JE Dunn Construction, with no registration fee. To register, visit www.parkviewmc.com/gala

A tribute to our past, a toast to our future” is the theme with a special recognition bestowed upon Owen G. McKinney for his leadership and vision in organizing the Parkview Episcopal Hospital Foundation and becoming the inaugural Chairman. In addition to Mr. McKinney, this year’s gala will honor all past honorees.

In addition to a Zoom presentation, an online auction presented by Banner and Bower, PC is available and currently open for bidding.  Items range from an all-encompassing Yeti package to paddle boards and exclusive getaways.  Visit www.parkviewmc.com/gala to find the auction link.

“The safety of our community is Parkview’s top priority.  The virtual format will be an opportunity for more guests to join us.  It is evident the role Parkview plays in providing high-quality care to our community and support is critical now, more than ever,” stated Lisa Siegel, Executive Director of the Parkview Foundation.

Guests are asked to RSVP online to the Zoom presentation.  They will be sent the Zoom registration link and additional details once their RSVP is complete.

The Starlight Gala debuted in May, 1980 and Mr. McKinney was the honoree. The event was in the hospital cafeteria and raised $4,425 with 173 in attendance. The Parkview Foundation has developed significantly as a Foundation since then. The robust fundraising endeavors continue to impact the health care initiatives of Parkview Medical Center and is a testament to the work of the Parkview Foundation Board.
