Thielbar Promoted to Director of Pharmacy

(PUEBLO, March 2, 2021) – Parkview has announced the promotion of Matt Thielbar as the Director of Pharmacy.  Thielbar will be responsible for supervising the inpatient pharmacy, retail pharmacy, outpatient anticoagulation clinic, pharmacy residency program, institutional review board and the future pharmacy at Parkview West (new hospital in Pueblo West). 

Thielbar is board certified in Pharmacotherapy Specialist and received Parkview’s recognition award in 2017 for the creation of Parkview’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Guidebook. 

“Matt is an excellent addition to our leadership team. In his time at Parkview, he has been a fixture on a number of our operational committees and has an established track record of moving our organization forward,” stated Carl Swithers, Vice President for Ancillary Services. 

Thielbar joined Parkview as a staff pharmacist in 2007 after he completed his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Colorado.   In 2015, he was promoted to the pharmacy clinical manager and held that role until his current promotion to director.
