Welte Named Parkview West Hospital Administrator


(PUEBLO, March 24, 2021) – Parkview has announced the promotion of Maggie Welte as the Hospital Administrator at Parkview West.  Parkview West, the hospital with initial focus on orthopedics is currently under construction and is slated to open early 2022. 

Welte will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new hospital including developing and implementing programs, policies and initiatives to achieve and provide high-quality patient care, while delivering exceptional customer service to Parkview’s patients. 

Welte started her career at Parkview as a registered nurse in 2004.  She has held various management and director positions that have furthered Parkview’s mission, vision and values.  Most recently, she was the Director of Internal Resources/Float Pool and 1 South floor in the hospital. 

“Maggie has been a fixture in a number of areas at Parkview and has an established a track record of moving our organization forward,” stated Leslie Barnes, President and CEO.  “I am confident she will provide the leadership we need as we move Parkview West forward.” 

Welte completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado State University in 2004 and her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governor’s University in 2019.
