Dr. Laurel E. Wright received her medical degree from the University of Iowa. She then went on to complete her specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at Barnes Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She served overseas in the Air Force for several years prior to joining Women’s Health Center.

Dr. Wright specializes in all aspects of gynecology including but not limited to: pelvic support problems, bladder problems, pelvic pain and vulvar diseases. She uses multiple surgical technologies so that she can offer her patients individualized, and minimally-invasive options.

I was supposed to have scheduled for an hour long appointment to have a test. When I arrived I found out I was scheduled for a 15 minute appointment. However, Dr. Wright talked to me and took the time to do everything she could to rectify the situation.

!. IT/Communications dept needs to improve programming leaving voice mail messages, consistently across the Parkview System, messages are truncated so the beginning of the messages is cut off so that important parts are missing. 2. Performance Improvement should be directed to the referral communication process with the patient. Only incidentally did I learn that a referral had been made as I had requested and only incidentally did I learn that an appointment for me had been made, fortunately in time for me to appear for my appointment. Otherwise, I was quite pleased with the Women't Health Center & their excellence in providing service. Thank you

This visit was fine. Previous visit, I was billed for a visit that should have been canceled because my surgery was canceled. I had THE MOST DIFFICULT time getting help/correct answers from the billing department. Constant misunderstanding and misinformation. Tons of phone calls to them and to Parkview Main without any answers! I feel I was treated differently because they thought I was self pay.

Instruct your staff to be more cognisant of how they respond to patients in order to make the visit as positive as possible. I say this because when I asked the woman, who was brining me back to the room to wait for the Doc, if it was okay for my husband to come back, she sarcastically said, "That's up to you." I only asked because everything is different since the "Woohon Virus" (Covid-19) has come upon the scene. Instead of responding, "That's up to you." she should have just responded with, "Yes; that's fine."

Majority of the visit was very very well. The only thing I would change is may be more handouts on the information that I was given, a lot of it was medical terms and that part I don't understand how to ask more questions. But with my memory in taking in so much, it was hard to remember everything. So just hand outs with that information would help more.

My appointment was at 2:30. I saw the dr at 3:30. Yet we are asked to show up 15 mins before our appointment. I had to leave my work for 2 hours for a 20 min appointment. So being respectful of the patients time would be a great improvement. Thanks.

As a new patient, when making the appointment I requested a new patient packet so that I could have the info filled out when I came for the appointment.I was told that I would get that at the appointment. When I was taken to the room, the medical assistant was filling in from a different department and did not have a good knowledge of the computer questions. I was asked questions needing dates that I was not prepared to answer that were entered directly into the computer. It would have been better to have had that information already written out on a questionnaire. I am a visual person and it helps to see what I am answering.

This is an exceptional place. One of the best doctors I have ever seen. Very organized and I never wait long in the waiting room. I had forgotten my mask and they quickly offered me one. The nurse was so nice and provided me all the information. The office and the room was clean. Thank you for your professionalism. I love Park view Hospital its an outstanding hospital.

I waited for 45 minutes and they called someone with my name, but they did not use the last name. So another lady went in my place and she had just gotten there and I've been there about 35 minutes by then. So maybe if the person had said my entire name, I would have gotten in at the right time.

Overall this visit was pleasant. However, I was told to get dressed and come out of the examining room. No one was there and I didn't know if I needed to talk with anyone or just leave. I asked someone and they told me to go to the check out window and they told me nothing else was needed and I could leave. It just felt strange. If this was the right thing to do, I would have felt better if someone had told me this final step.
