About Mark Maurer

Dr. Mark Maurer is board certified in foot and ankle surgery with extensive experience in a wide range of foot and ankle conditions and treatments. He has particular experience in advanced procedures such as minimally invasive surgeries and total ankle joint replacements.  He prioritizes educating his patients on their conditions and the conservative and surgical treatment options. Patient satisfaction and optimal healing are his top goals.

He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He received his doctorate degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where was qualified for memberships into the Stirling-Harford-DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society and Pi Delta National Podiatry Honor Society.

Following podiatric medical school, Dr. Maurer completed a three year foot and ankle surgical residency at Crozer Medical Center near Philadelphia, PA. He received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, limb salvage and wound care. Two months were spent in the International Limb Lengthening Center at The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, MD where he received additional training in complex reconstructive correction of adult and pediatric limb deformities with emphasis on external fixation.

While chief resident, Dr. Maurer was selected to represent the Podiatry Department at Crozer Medical Center to receive Physician-Patient Satisfaction training which he, in turn, delivered to all attendings and residents. This training has helped improve his relationship with his patients, gaining a better understanding of how to help them understand and follow through with the care being given. It has added to the quality and satisfaction of their care.

Dr. Maurer is an avid runner and completed his first marathon in St. George, UT in 2016. He especially enjoys spending time outdoors and playing sports with his wife, two daughters and son. He has been practicing in Pueblo since 2012 and has enjoyed living in Southern Colorado and considers it a privilege to provide foot and ankle care in this area.

Nothing, I was quite satisfied!
February 08, 2022
Took way too long to see doctor. I was in the room for 40 min after the nurse came in. I know things come up but the appointment took almost two hours with the majority of it being me waiting
January 19, 2022
The front desk is very rude, I was harassed about bringing a MRI and x-ray disc and the doctor didn't even touch it. Also, the doctor didn't take any time to learn about my disease or how that treat it and gave me some hippie way of treating things with vitamin D, which will not help my condition. I will not recommend this doctor, I will not talk to the front desk ever again. I'm very unpleased.

Introducing himself would have been nice when he entered the room. It was the first time being at his office. That tiny moment to connect at a person not just a patent means a lot to me and hardly ever happens.

Everything was excellent

Nothing this has been a great experience

One of the answers I pressed a zero was supposed to be a 10 because I think that Dr. Maurer's office and all his staff was one great and very attentive people they took care of you greatly and they treated you very well and actually treated me very well and my family. When they were with me, I appreciate that. That staff and doctor they did a very good job for me.

The X-ray clinic was not prepared for me. Gave me the wrong paperwork, etc. But in the end they got my x-rays completed and to the doctor. So all was good.

The doctor did not discuss his suggestion of treatment. I was simply handed and item and then later, when I got home I found out a prescription had been assigned to me, but was not ever told why or what to do with it. The whole meeting with the doctor left me with the feeling I was just a source of income to the physician, not a patient of concern.

no problems all ok
October 27, 2021
Nothing- always very polite and friendly.
October 26, 2021
I just wanted to say that I thought the receptionist she was very nice and polite, but kind of cold a little bit, but not a big problem.
October 12, 2021
Maybe providing that we could come by and pick up to fill out the papers that information. That'd be the only thing that I might suggest. Otherwise, it was an overall ten. Thank you.
September 15, 2021
I had to wait a very long time to get in to see the doctor. I was on time, but he wasn't. Otherwise, I was pleased with the service that I got.

A very pleasant Dr. visit. The office receptionist and Drs. assistant we're great. Dr. Maurer was very good to explain my condition and options for care. Very knowledgeable and I feel very confident that Dr. is right about my diagnosis.

The back office Medical assistant is very attuned and excellent, but the front office staff, I don't even know what to say about them. It's just not good. Okay, that's it.
August 02, 2021
I wasn't impressed by them still making you wear a mask. I think it's over board that Parkview has to act that way in a medical facility because there is nothing they could do about the situation. And they need to mind their own business.
August 02, 2021
I'd rather not have to wear a mask in the office.
August 02, 2021
Nothing, everything was wonderful
July 30, 2021
I can't think of anything. I have had the best care.
July 20, 2021
Not a thing. Dr Mauer and his team are the epitome of professionalism and true concern and kindness for their patients.
July 14, 2021
First Visit. Front end staff are efficient. The Doc after reviewing my x-rays pointed out my issues causing foot pain. Follow-up in Aug. Thus far A plus.
July 14, 2021
Everything was perfect.
July 05, 2021
The doctor and staff was great. Thank you for the service.
June 21, 2021
The surgeon didn't seem to understand what pain I'm having ,
June 15, 2021
My experience was very good. I really liked how the doctor listened to me and what I had to say. I was also impressed with his knowledge about all my different scars and how they were associated with each of my surgeries and how each one was used.He is very knowledgeable about his profession.
June 11, 2021
I absolutely was very impressed. My first visit. I would recommend my family and I would definitely go back to him. Thank you.
June 08, 2021
Excellent doctor and staff!
June 07, 2021
What I liked was, there was plenty of support and office staff support in both his office and the surgery room. I respect to that which what I don't like is the continued gouging of patients for medical care costs, it's ridiculous if you have good insurance and you still end up with a $10,000 bill.
June 04, 2021
It's all good
June 04, 2021
It has been my experience over nearly 40 years of being in customer service oriented positions that having staff who show, in their voice, mannerisms and eyes they are happy to serve and take care of a customers needs. It didn't feel that way on this visit. I know there was a stand in at the front desk but she didn't exemplify the above characteristics.

Staff and Dr very nice, efficient and knowledgeable.
