Dr. Runciman is a Pediatric Cardiologist who specializes in Electrophysiology (the management of abnormal heart rhythms and the placement and care of pacemakers) and general clinical cardiology. He was raised in Scotland and Spain and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Runciman is a graduate of St. Bartholomew's Medical School in London, England and holds MB BS (a MD degree in the United States). He completed his general pediatric training at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, Scotland and then trained in Pediatric Cardiology in Oxford, England. To pursue his interest in the heart's electrical system, he moved to Texas to undertake an electrophysiology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and completed this program in 1999. He worked in his specialty as a Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester, England for two years before moving to Colorado in 2002. Dr. Runciman holds the European equivalent of Board Certification in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Paeditrics and Child Health of the Royal College of Physicians.
